3 Summit Tour over the Gennerhorn, the Gruberhorn and the Regenspitz

A hike like it is written in the book

This challenging but very rewarding tour leads past sunny alps, rugged peaks and narrow grades and offers every hiker everything they could wish for in a hike in the Salzkammergut.

The start of the hike is the Lämmerbach car park. From here, the trail leads up to the Genneralm via the forest road or the signposted old alpine trail. The trail leads up to the Gennerhorn from the Genneralm via the eastern slope. From the summit of the Gennerhorn, the trail leads over the western ridge to the next saddle. There you will find a path to the summit of the Gruberhorn. From here, a ridge leads in a north-westerly direction to the Regenspitz. Good sure-footedness and a head for heights are a prerequisite here, as the trail leads between mountain pines and stone steps to the summit of the Regenspitz. The descent is then via the northeast ridge down to the Feichtensteinalm. You can stop for refreshments at the Stegleiten Hut. Then, after about 200 metres, the trail goes down to the right across an alpine meadow and then through a cool forest back to the Gruberalm. The last section of the descent leads back along the old alpine path or along the forest road to the Lämmerbach car park.
