A family holiday is only perfect when all family members are "on board": including your beloved four-legged friends. Aus diesem Grund sind Ihre Haustiere bei uns im Hotel jederzeit herzlich willkommen. We would like to communicate a few rules to you, as the well-being of our guests is very important to us.
A considerate approach on holiday with a dog in the hotel
In order for our guests to feel comfortable, mutual consideration for each other is essential. Therefore, we ask dog owners among the holidaymakers in the hotel in particular to show consideration for the other guests and to observe the general leash requirement within all public areas of the hotel without exception.
In addition, we would like to point out that out of consideration for all guests, pets of any kind are only allowed in our restaurant on request! This way we ensure that both the other guests and you and your dog can spend a relaxed and culinary evening worth remembering in the restaurant or in the Stüberl.
Pet-friendly atmosphere in room, suite and chalet
DAS Hintersee has taken the greatest care in the furnishing to design the hotel's interiors for you with the highest level of comfort. This has resulted in several creatively and stylishly furnished rooms and suites, which invite you with your whole family including pets. We also ask you NOT to leave your four-legged friends on the beds and couches.
Please note to let us know if you are bringing a pet with you when booking, as there is a charge depending on the room category:

- Possibility to buy dog food from our regional butcher Hauer from Lochen

Extensive hiking & walking in Hintersee
Hintersee is ideal for anyone who wants to explore the area with their four-legged friend, offering numerous walking and hiking trails for long walks together. Here, you can thoroughly explore the Salzkammergut's natural beauty, with its meadows, mountain views, and clear lakes, together with your dog, whether on a short stroll or a longer hike.
A special recommendation for summer days is the Wasser-Zauber-Weg trail. The starting point of this easy loop hike is 15 minutes from the hotel, located at the central parking lot in Hintersee, and leads along the Tiefenbach stream past small waterfalls and natural pools. After about two hours and six kilometers, the hike ends back in town, where a refreshing swim in Lake Hintersee awaits you and your four-legged friend.
Please observe all posted signs regarding the handling of your four-legged friend and keep your dog on a leash where required. In particular, we kindly ask you to bring dog waste bags and clean up after your dog to help keep the paths clean and enjoyable for everyone.
We would also like to point out that cats are NOT permitted. Thank you for your understanding.
