The musical theater piece Wolf ≈ The Mystical refers to the 1100th birthday of Saint Wolfgang (924 – 2024). Based on Franzobel's libretto, composer Gerd Hermann Ortler presents great musical theater, his first mystical. At the same time, you can experience the new Salzkammergut lake stage on Lake Wolfgang, a mobile, flexible "art machine" by architect Eduard Neversal.

Both the stage and the audience area are fully covered and play takes place in all weathers.

The piece addresses the big questions of human existence and deals with the life of Saint Wolfgang. The piece aims to entertain and at the same time promote respect for life. It shows man's inner conflict between hedonism and contemplation based on Wolfgang's life story. The production should be poetic and humorous and inspire the audience.

18 actors and 12 musicians will bring prominent characters to the stage. A world of mystical theater and entertaining musical is created - a mystical!

The musical theater piece takes place on the unique lakeside stage on Lake Wolfgangsee. You will be taken with our hotel shuttle to the Gschwendt & Schafbergbahn pier, where you will take a wonderful boat trip at dusk to the lake stage.
